Kalle Niinikangas, born on Sunday February 18th 1973 in Jyväskylä, Central Finland, is a poet, travel writer & translator. Kalle Niinikangas has traveled the world from the jungles of Guatemala to the pine clothed river basins of Siberia, from the shady bars of Tangiers to Southern Thailand & North-East England. He has worked in the port of Pireaus in Greece assembling straddle carriers, with the refugees and mentally ill in Finland & cooked food from the EU emergency tins to the homeless junkies in Kingston Upon Hull, England.
Kalle Niinikangas is also the chairman of the Writer's and Artist's organisation Kiila and has been poetry events and creative writing courses for the asylum seekers in Finland.
Kalle Niinikangas has published 4 poetry collections, 4 travel books and has translated Charles Bukowski in to Finnish and his works have been on several anthologies in Finnish, Estonian, Hungarian and English & he is publisher on Finnish publishing house Enostone.
